NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE. MNPS Virtual School would like to celebrate the Class of 2023 by featuring our outstanding students.
Hailey Farris joined MNPS Virtual School in the Fall of 2022. Haley is pursuing her college dreams with acceptance and a full scholarship to Salem College in Winston-Salem, NC this fall! School Counselor, Mrs. Bauman of MNPS Virtual School, notes, "We are thrilled Hailey chose to join MNPS Virtual School to complete her high school education, but more importantly, we are proud of Hailey's dedication and pursuit of her dreams!"
Upon graduating from MNPS Virtual School, Hailey's intends to study abroad for a semester and pursue a degree in Salem College's Dentistry and Health Sciences program. While Hailey is not set on a specific dental career just yet, she hopes to combine her passion for helping people with an entrepreneurial spirit, maybe one day even being her own boss.
When asked what advice she would provide to other MNPS Virtual School students, Hailey offers, "Keep pushing. Anything you're doing now will help you in the future, and it will benefit you." She continues, "you have so many options in life, so take advantage of everything you can." When asked, why attend Salem College, Hailey shared, "Salem college is an all-girls school. Everyone is very friendly, and I love it there overall! I was selected for a full-ride scholarship called Salem Scholars. The scholarship pays for everything except room and board and is valued at over $120,000. I get to stay in my own dorm! Only 13 other students received this award. I received a special invitation to apply for it, so I did that, and I got in! Salem is historic, offers small class sizes, and everyone is kind. I learn better in small groups, so it is a perfect fit for me."
Reflecting on Hailey's support, she shares, "I want to thank everyone in my life because all of them have a story to me and they helped build my character." Hailey loves to try new things, dog-sit, and sing in her spare time.
MNPS Virtual School's 12th Annual Graduation Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 24th The ceremony will begin at 1:00 PM in the Sadler Auditorium at The Cohn School to celebrate the accomplishments of Hailey and all our MNPS Virtual School graduates.
