Academics

  • Elementary School Academics
    MNPS Virtual School offers an elementary school program for grades four through five. Students in grades four (4) and five (5) receive 30 hours of (live) direct instruction each week with a daily synchronous component via Teams. A typical schedule for an elementary school student includes Math, English Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and a Related Arts course in addition to tier intervention during PLT. Elementary School course offerings are listed in the Course Catalog.
  • Middle School Academics
    MNPS Virtual School offers a middle school program for grades six (6) through eight (8). Students in grades six (6) through eight (8) receive instruction primarily in an asynchronous format, although synchronous connections with teachers are limited. A typical schedule for a middle school student includes Math, English Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and a Related Arts course in addition to tier intervention during PLT. Middle students meeting academic qualifications may also enroll in high school level courses. Middle School course offerings are listed in the Course Catalog.
