About Dr. Parris Malone:

Dr. Parris Malone is a native of Memphis, TN. After graduating from Mitchell High School (Memphis City Schools), she enrolled at Tennessee State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. After graduating from Tennessee State University, Dr. Malone accepted a position within MNPS, where she taught middle school history for several years and served as Dean of Students.

As a teacher leader, Dr. Malone facilitated various professional developments, served as the Department Chair for social studies, helped develop the district social studies scope and sequence, and served as a new teacher mentor.
Dr. Malone is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority Inc. Malone was a nominee for the HBCU Digest Female Student of the Year (2013) and named runner up for MNPS District Middle School Teacher of the Year (2020).
