NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE. MNPS Virtual School is pleased to announce our 2023 Valedictorian—Conor Patton! Dr. Kelby Garner, Executive Principal, notes, "Conor is a true scholar. He has an unwavering commitment to academic excellence. Conor's determination and work ethic will take him very far in life!"

Conor PattonUpon graduating from MNPS Virtual School, Conor plans to attend The University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Conor chose to attend The University of Tennessee mainly because of its engineering program. Conor intends to major in Computer Science. As an avid gamer and artist, Conor plans to pursue a career in Video Game Design and Development upon graduating from The University of Tennessee.

When asked, what advice would you give to other MNPS Virtual School students? Conor shared, "Have a plan-Plan out your week as if you were still in a normal school." Conor had a plan for academic success at MNPS Virtual School.

Conor realizes the success he is experiencing is not only due to his accomplishments but also from family support. When asked who he would like to thank for helping him reach this milestone, Conor said, "My mom, I would like to thank my mom because she has been helpful with organizing and planning out things with a virtual school." Success in an online program is realized when everyone plays a role, including students, parents, and staff members.

Finally, Conor also received the UT Orange & White and TN Hope scholarships.

MNPS Virtual School's 12th Annual Graduation Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. The ceremony will begin at 1:00 PM in the Sadler Auditorium at The Cohn School to celebrate the accomplishment of Sheila and all our MNPS Virtual School graduates.
